NIH Offers Loan Repayment for Clinical Research


The National Institutes of Health with repay up to $35,000 per year of health professionals' student loans for those who agree to spend at least two years conducting clinical research.

The loan repayment program is designed to attract highly qualified health professionals to clinical research.  Participants must spend at least two years in the program and must spend at least half of their work schedule conducting research.

About $42 million will be available to fund about 930 awards.  Applications are due by Dec. 1, 2006 and must be submitted through the NIH Loan Repayment Website.
