The budget blueprint released recently from the Trump administration, while containing a few rays of hope, also provides significant cause for concern. As with any budget blueprint, this is a proposal, and one that is sure to face a great deal of scrutiny as it moves through the legislative process. IDSA will continue to advocate for the funding necessary to keep the public safe from infectious diseases and continue important research progress. Faces of Antimicrobial Resistance: Bringing Patient Stories to Capitol Hill
 

Simon Sparrow was only 15 months old when a drug-resistant infection took his life. Since that dreadful day in 2004, his mother, Everly Macario, has shared her story countless times to help raise awareness about antimicrobial resistance and to garner the resources needed to help other children and adults. IDSA’s new report shares Simon’s story and many others, helping to put a face on the AR crisis.
